Moving Forward

The past of Arden Hills is a story of continual progress. Expect nothing less for the future.

Founded in 1954 by the late Sherm Chavoor, Arden Hills Club & Spa began as a small, private club focused primarily on development of world-class swim and tennis athletes. Boasting a proud and impressive history of inspiring 31 Olympic medals (20 of them gold) and more then 200 world and American records by athletes who trained at Arden Hills (including Mark Spitz with nine Gold Medals and Debbie Meyer with three Gold Medals) Arden Hills athletes have been on the cover of Sports Illustrated, Time and Life magazines. For over 60 years Arden Hills has been at the forefront of world-class athletic development.

After an ownership change in 1985, Arden Hills began an aggressive redevelopment plan that has continued for over 30 years. Designed to dramatically expand the scope of its facilities and offerings. In 1998, the club unveiled a spectacular new Olympic-sized swimming pool, and added nearly 90,000 sq. feet of fitness training facilities, spa, salon, restaurants, lounge and more. Over the years, Arden Hills has earned a reputation as a sought-out destination for spectacular weddings and events. To extend the vision and offer upscale overnight accommodations, Arden Hills opened The Villas in 2007, perfect for wellness retreats, wedding parties, company retreats, couples or individuals looking for the ultimate in relaxation and revitalization.

The breathtakingly beautiful resort style club continues to expand and evolve to bring new innovative programs. Arden Hills has evolved into a world-class training facility for multiple sport disciplines with the newest state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, and over 150 highly trained associates. With a focus on nourishing the body and mind through healthy nutrition, cutting-edge fitness programs, indulgent relaxation amenities and much more. Arden Hills continues to be centerpiece on the world stage of athletics and a symbol of excellence in the sacramento region.
