Meet our Amazing Members: The Swallow Family
Greg, Sarah, Bradley, Brett, and Ella
Greg and Sarah are natives to Northern California, growing up in Napa Valley and Sacramento. They decided to make their Arden Park neighborhood their permanent home, close to Arden Hills.
Sarah was born and raised in Sacramento, and spent 10 years with the San Juan Unified School District before becoming a stay-at-home mom. After a hiatus from working at home taking care of her three children, she continued her career as a cheerleading coach and is currently the head varsity coach for Rio Americano High School.
Greg grew up in the Napa Valley before moving to Sacramento for college. His career has been a mix of healthcare and military leadership. He is currently the Director of Nursing for two cardiac units at Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento. Greg is a 16-year veteran of the military – holding the rank of Lt Colonel as a critical care nurse in the US Air Force Reserve.
The Swallow children are very active in Arden Hills activities for youth. Bradley swims for the USA Swim team at Arden Hills, Brett swims for the Arden Hills Otters, and little Ella loves spending time in Kids Korner with Ms. Clara, Ms. Emily, and the rest of the Kids Korner staff.
The Swallow family love spending time at Arden Hills while until the renovation of their home is complete and their dream home becomes a reality. Here are some other favorite places they enjoy in their spare time:
Breakfast: Café Bernardo – It’s a relaxing atmosphere and the food is awesome.
Dinner: Rudy’s Hideaway- This has been a favorite of ours since we started dating! It is the perfect setting for date night or dinner with friends.
Dessert: Pumpkin pie cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory.
Winery: V. Sattui (Napa Valley). The grounds at the winery are gorgeous, and the wine and cheese is amazing!
Lake: Our family spends each summer at Jenkinson Lake, in Sly Park. It’s the best lake for boating for adults and kids.
Place to Hike: At the “back” of Jenkinson Lake is a waterfall. It’s about a mile in from parking, and the hike is perfect for our entire family.
Nature Excursion: You can catch us throughout the year hiking at Effie Yeaw and checking out all of the wildlife in that area.
The kids love all kinds of animals, especially peacocks so you may catch us cruising through the local neighborhoods looking for peacocks and chickens!
Music Venue: Our favorite is wherever Florida Georgia Line is playing.
