Amazing Member: Miguel Bota

Miguel Bota is originally from Barcelona Spain but has traveled and lived in many different countries. He first arrived in California while pursuing his Ph.D. at Stanford University and was glad to come back again years later. Currently, Miguel is now an Assistant Professor of Spanish at Sacramento State.

Miguel has lots of interests, but he especially loves literature, visual arts, philosophy, hiking, skiing, and swimming! His family is very important to him and comments, “Arden Hills plays a huge part in our family fun”. In fact, the best place for the kids is in the Arden Hills’ swimming pools! Miguel describes the pools as “perfect” and says that the children enjoy them all year long. What makes Arden Hills his favorite exercise spot and ideal location, is that the Club goes beyond with the “nice facilities, the professionalism, and the warmth of the Arden Hills team”.

The family’s favorite getaway is going to Lake Tahoe, where they are able to recharge their batteries all year round. In Sacramento, Miguel’s favorite place to get Mexican food is Zocalo’s and he also likes to visit Lemon Grass as a family. He prefers American desserts over European desserts, but still has not found the best place in town to indulge and is open to suggestions. The only thing missing for Miguel so far in Sacramento is a great bookstore to surf good reads, listen to music, and connect with the community. However, we think that he will find one with the help of our Members!

We are so overjoyed with Miguel’s love of Arden Hills and Sacramento and are glad he has become part of our community here at Arden Hills. Thank you for being such an Amazing Member!
