Arden Hills Members had a hauntingly good time at this year’s Spooktacular. Members came dressed up in their scary and creative costumes, ready for some fun! We had great food, a bounce house, games, activities, and a wicked haunted house. Some of our Members won gift certificates for their clever costumes.
This year Spooktacular was taken over by Jack Skellington and all his frightful friends for a Nightmare Before Christmas Halloween themed event. The outside of the Villas was transformed into a delightful carnival filled with treats like cotton candy, doughnuts, and funnel cakes. As well as gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, mac and cheese bar, and prime rib carver. The perimeter of The Villas was filled with fun games such as giant Jenga, corn hole, and a creepy touch and feel station. Some of the favorites of the night included a doughnut-eating contest, the cakewalk, and the huge bounce house.
Along with that, the inside of the Villas was to die for! Each room of The Villa’s was transformed into a scary version of each holiday from the movie. We had Valentine’s room, Fourth of July room, Christmas, Easter room, and of course, the Halloween room. Adults and children came out trembling over the creepy Valentine’s Day room and couldn’t stop talking about how detailed and frightening the haunted house was. There was even a surprise visit from Zero, the dog. As the night ended, children got candy from our trunk or treat station and waited to see if they won the costume contest. Isabela Aslie won the best costume award for the children, and the winner of the adult contest was Erin Levi. Congratulations to both of them for their creativity and getting into character.
Spooktacular 2019 was a successful evening. As always, we at Arden Hills enjoy spending holidays with all of you. We’re glad for those who came, and can’t wait for next year!
